Webkinz Next is a modern, 3D spin-off and sequel to the original Webkinz game. Launched by Ganz in 2020, it runs alongside the older version (now rebranded as Webkinz Classic) as a completely separate game.
Key New Features
3D Gameplay: The entirely flat, 2D sprites of the original game are replaced with fully 3D pet models and a 3D environment.
MMO World: Players can freely wander through a shared, multiplayer Kinzville map and visually interact with other players in real time.
"Sparking" Babies: A standout feature where you can breed or "spark" two virtual adult pets together to create a brand new, genetically unique baby pet.
Cross-Play: The game is optimized for both desktop and mobile, giving players the exact same features on phones as they get on computers.
The newer physical Webkinz plush toys come with two codes—one for Webkinz Classic and one to unlock the 3D version of the pet in Webkinz Next.
